Striding Edge
Striding Edge
by Lucy Hinton, December 2006
Terrible decisions look like a jagged ridge ahead
Neither way down looks easy
And it’s wild and windy here on top
But great adventures are made in such places
They have us swearing blind at them
Berating ourselves for ever setting foot outside our door
And wishing we had come better equipped
Yet one day they are the memories we hold most dear
They are the treasures of our character
The tests through which we got to see most clear
the face of our own soul
